Our New House - Page 1

28th March 2000

The old house has been demolished and the block has been cleared.

10th May 2000

The builders finally showed up on site, and put the power pole in place. That means that work has officially started, and according to the contract, they have 269 days to complete it. That means the latest we will be in is by 3rd Febrary 2001. I would hope that we get to move in by Christmas though..

20th May 2000

This photo shows the power pole, and if you look closely, you can see that the foundations have been dug out and the concrete poured.

28th May 2000

Not much has happened since the concrete was poured, but now the bricks have been delivered, and there is a toilet onsite for the workmen.

20th June 2000

Its been three long weeks since the bricks were delivered, and nothing has happened since then until today. Finally, the brickie has shown up, and made a start on the bricks, to take the walls up to floor level.
