Quick polish after the respray
23rd June 2007
After the car came back from the paint shop, it was covered in swirls and scratches from the buffer, which is to be expected, painters just don't polish to the level that a keen detailer will. The whole car wasn't too bad, except for the bonnet, which had huge holograms and lots of swirling. I know I should wait for a month to let the paint harden before starting any polishing, but I just couldn't leave the bonnet looking like that for another month, so I gave it a light polish, first with Menzerna Intensive Polish and an Edge Green Pad, and then a second pass with Menzerna Final Finish and an Edge Blue Pad, on very slow speed. The pictures below show the before, during and after.
