Welcome to the new-look Apollo Theatre!

The Apollo Theatre has undergone a facelift. Gone are the light cream walls, and the Sony LCD projector, the updated room features a new, dark color scheme (similar to the colors on this page), and a monster NEC CRT projector.

We still have things to do though, obviously the white carpet is a distraction, so we'll probably put a very dark rug down over it. Also, I'll eventually build a hushbox for the CRT, as it's a bit on the loud side.

Take a look around, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

You can see what the room used to look like by visiting my old site

A shot of the back of the room with the side curtain open. You can't really see the back row.

Another shot of the back of the room, this time with the rear cutains open too, so that you can see the back row.

Here's a look at the three main colors used in the room. The ceiling and walls are a very dark purple (Dulux "Double Bass"), the cornice is a very dark red (Dulux "Renaissance Red"), and the drapes are made from a burgundy velvet

Curtains Shut, Lights up!

A look from the second row ar the screen, and the cabinet that houses all of the equipment and DVD's. If you look closely, you can see the main speakers either side of the cabinet

Same view again, but this time with the curtains closed.

Another view from the second row, with the lights on low, and a picture on the screen

Same view again, except that this time I used the flash so you can see the projector, but that washed out the image on the screen a bit

The NEC XG135 CRT proector mounted on the ceiling.

Another view of the projector. I still need to build a hushbox for it

A statue on top of the murtle table that we made. We also made the redgum table that you can see in some of the other shots, and the cabinet that hides all of the gear. We also built the platforms for the second and third rows of seats. The only furniture that we actually bought is the seats, and the drapes
